Volkswagen Golf GTE

A hybrid with a sport soul. Driving pleasure is in its genes: the maximum output of the Golf GTE is 180 kW (245 hp). Plug-in hybrid technology is responsible for this impressive power.

The Golf GTE can travel purely electrically at speeds of up to 130 km/h.
Working together, the two engines (electric and combustion) accelerate the Golf GTE from 0 to 100 km/h in just 7 seconds and allow it to reach speeds of up to 222 km/h for a short time.

Agility and aerodynamics are the values that describe the Golf GTE. This is underlined, for example, by a blue strip that runs over the entire front of the body through the VW badge to the dynamic LED headlamps. The rear of the body, with its expressive LED lights and a roof spoiler, also makes the Golf GTE look good from the rear.

The powerful hybrid drive of the Golf GTE consists of a virtually noiseless electric motor with smooth power transmission and an innovative direct injection 1.4-liter TSI petrol engine with 110 kW (150 hp), characterized by excellent dynamics and low fuel consumption.

Together, the two engines accelerate the Golf GTE from 0 to 100 km / h in just 7.0 seconds and enable a short-term speed of 222 km / h. They achieve a system output of 180 kW (245 hp) and an impressive torque of up to 400 Nm.

In addition to the three intuitively understandable hybrid modes, the Golf GTE can also travel up to 56 km (WLTP) in electric mode. This means you can use the electric drive in the city, while outside the city with both engines, the TSI engine will extend the range of the Golf GTE.

After returning home, you will fully charge the electric motor battery from a normal socket in no more than 6 hours. With the optional Wallbox or at a public charging station, it only takes 4 hours.

All elements of the Golf GTE’s interior are designed to underline its sporting character, from the pedals with stainless steel covers, through decorative applications and typical upholstery seams, to the black headlining. The LED ambient lighting introduces lighting accents where they are needed. At first glance, you can also see that the future has entered the cockpit and the center console. High-resolution displays dominate here, and many functions, such as radio, air conditioning or lighting, are operated with touch buttons or sliders. Touch and check.
